Weissbruck

Weissbruck is a growing village of some 272 inhabitants (mostly peasant farmers, miners and boatmen) and ruled by the Gruber family. The Grubers made their fortune by establishing a network of mines in Delfgruber and commissioning the construction of the Weissbruck Canal between the Bögen River and the Reik River, which is used to ship coal and iron from the mines to Altdorf and beyond. Weissbruck is now a bustling stopping point between the town of Bögenhafen and Altdorf. Warehouses line the canal and river banks, storing coal and iron ore from the near by mines, wool and wine from Bögenhafen and all manner of goods from Altdorf.
