The three-legged goblin escapes from Doctor Malthusius, and the party agrees to chase it into the sewers for him.
In the sewers, the party stumbles into the cellar of the Crossed Pikes Inn, then another cellar with a Chaos cult shrine, guarded by a Hell Hound. Finally, they found the body of the dwarf from the stocks.

GM’s Summary:
Party learns that the town watch is on the look out for all Dwarves and Elves in town, and probably any other non-humans too.
Party abandons the Journey’s End Inn, hiding in cloaks and hoods, and uses the sewers to reach the Berebeli.
Party warns Elvyra Kleinestun, and she flees town. She identifies Karl Teugen’s cause of death as possible Purple Brain Fever.
Otter (as Kastor) cold-calls at various councilmember’s homes, pretending to be a member of the Ordo Septenarius, spreading some minor confusion over their meeting plans, despite not really knowing what those plans are.
Party plans to lure a cultist into the sewers and force the plot out of them. Their first possibility is the elderly, friendly Councillor Friedrich Magirius. Then beat him and bully him in the sewers.
Magirius is horrified that the Ordo Septenarius has Chaos affiliations, and agrees to help the party uncover them fully.
Otter (as Kastor) and Magirius meet with Dieter, manservant to Graf Wilhelm von Saponatheim, to warn them of the Ordo’s ritual. Dieter runs off to inform the Graf.
Magirius tells the party he will attend that evening’s cult meeting and send them word at the Berebeli when he has new information about the midnight ritual.
Messenger gets party to come to Magirius’s home, where they are framed for his murder. All escape to the sewers, except for Otter, who is arrested and thrown into jail. Magirius had scrawled either “WHSE 13” or “WHSE 17” using his own blood, with his dying moments.
In jail, Otter gets Dieter Barl to represent him, only to have Barl reveal he is a member of the Ordo Septenarius. He submits a false confession on Otter/Kastor’s behalf.
The rest of the party return to the river, to see the Graf’s barge slipping off into the night. An attempt to get a horse to chase the barge down with ends in another chase by the watch into the sewers.

GM’s Summary:
While the rest of the party gather to spy on the workers unloading cult paraphernalia at Warehouse 13, Otter escapes from jail and arrives at the same warehouse in time to see the members of the Inner Circle arriving for their ritual. They bring a sacrificial victim with them, in the form of Josef Quartjin.
Otter (as Kastor) returns to the Crossed Pikes Inn to encourage the people there to help overthrow the Ordo, and raises a rabble.
Realising they have little time left to thwart the ritual, the party attacks. Tabseras sets fire to Johannes Teugen, to keep him from reading from an ancient scroll. Gideon reveals himself to be a Chaos Daemon and locks into battle with Erykah.
Ultimately, Erykah kills Gideon, and the Crossed Pikes mob (and Tod) descends with fury on the surviving cult leaders and their guards, killing them all.
The cultists’ are searched, and a letter to Teugen is taken by the party. Then the warehouse and the bodies are set alight.
Josef and the party slip onto the Berebeli and sail into the night, leaving the mob to take advantage of the now-leaderless town.

A day later, another barge is found grounded along the bank, with mutants raiding it. The party kills the mutants, but suffers serious injury in the process. The are able to rescue the sole survivor of the raid, Renate Hausier, and Josef recommends that they take over the new barge, sailing it on to Weissbruck.

In Weissbruck, a pair of pot and pan merchants approach the party and give Otter the same sign he was shown when he first arrived in Altdorf. When he tells them that he is the Magister Impedimentae, one of them shakes his hand, and the pair disappear into the crowd. Otter is left with purple ink all over his hand.

They try to get medical help from Elvyra Kleinestun, only to find her missing, apparently kidnapped. A clue points to the red barn outside of town, and the still-injured party must fight off her kidnappers to rescue her.
